What happens when we go beyond the surface of the images to delve into their genetics? Can an element as abstract as the code of an image be qualified as something beautiful or ugly? El en-canto de lo feo (The charming song of the ugly) is a project by David Agudelo, Annelie Franke and Roxana Martínez. It was an experiment where what was considered defective, imperfect and visually unpresentable, was transformed into something auditory interesting. The process consisted of taking images to pixelate and convert them into a bitmap. An exercise to remind us of the beauty that is hidden beyond what we are able to see.
